About the role
The Family Help Practitioner works within Hackney’s Family Help Service, supporting migrant families, disabled children and the Extra‑Familial Harm Team. You will join a multidisciplinary team led by social workers and a team manager, delivering high‑quality interventions to vulnerable children and families.
Key responsibilities
- Provide direct support and advocacy to families facing complex challenges.
- Deliver interventions informed by anti‑racist, trauma‑informed and systemic practice.
- Collaborate with social workers, safeguarding partners and local support services.
- Contribute to service development, organisational learning and best‑practice initiatives.
- Maintain accurate case records and uphold safeguarding standards.
Required profile
- Qualified professional with a background in Family Support, Youth Work, Health, Advocacy, Children or Young People.
- NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification.
- Experience working with vulnerable children and families.
- Commitment to anti‑racist, contextual safeguarding and systemic approaches.
