Housekeeper – Part-Time

About the role

We are seeking a reliable part‑time Housekeeper to maintain the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene across Debden Grange retirement village and residents’ private apartments. The role is scheduled for 10 hours per week, Monday and Tuesday, 8:30 am‑1:30 pm.

Key responsibilities

• Perform routine cleaning in residents’ apartments, including dusting, vacuuming, mopping and sanitising surfaces.
• Launder and care for residents’ linens and clothing.
• Keep communal areas such as lounges, dining rooms and hallways tidy and presentable.
• Assist with light maintenance tasks when required.
• Uphold strict hygiene and safety standards throughout the village.

Required profile

• Previous housekeeping experience, preferably in a residential or hospitality setting.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
• Excellent communication skills with a friendly, compassionate demeanour.
• Sensitivity to the needs of older adults.
• Willingness to undergo background checks and relevant training.
