Finance Business Partner

About the role

We are partnering with a fast‑growing, private‑equity‑backed infrastructure business to appoint a commercially minded Finance Business Partner. Reporting to the Finance Director, this newly created, high‑profile role works closely with commercial and operational leaders to improve project performance, profitability, cash generation and working capital.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver accurate management reporting, meaningful variance analysis and clear performance insight.
• Lead budgeting and quarterly forecasting across P&L, balance sheet and cash flow.
• Partner with senior stakeholders, challenging commercial assumptions and project forecasts.
• Own divisional cash‑flow forecasting and help improve billing, collections and cash lock‑up.
• Support the financial integration of acquired businesses and embed consistent processes.
• Use data and analytics to identify risks, opportunities and actions.

Required profile

• A qualified accountant – ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent.
• Experience in infrastructure, transportation, construction or heavy contract‑led environments.
• Strong finance business partnering or commercial finance experience.
• Proven ownership of budgeting, forecasting and management reporting.
• Confidence to influence senior commercial and operational stakeholders.
• Track record of improving financial performance, cash flow or working capital.
