Financial Accountant – Bathgate

About the role

Catalent Pharma Solutions is looking for an experienced Financial Accountant to join its Finance team at the state‑of‑the‑art Bathgate site. Working in a fast‑paced GMP manufacturing environment, you will support strong financial control, robust processes and high‑quality reporting across the business.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and improve working capital, including cash‑flow forecasting.
• Oversee the shared‑service accounts payable process.
• Ensure accurate completion of tax matters (VAT, Corporation Tax, capital allowances) in line with statutory requirements.
• Reconcile inter‑company transactions and balances monthly.
• Deliver fully reconciled monthly trial balances.
• Support year‑end audits and preparation of statutory accounts for UK entities.
• Develop and implement financial policies, procedures and controls.
• Build strong financial business‑partnering relationships across global finance and operational teams.
• Support capital investment planning, forecasting and reporting.

Required profile

• Part‑qualified AAT or ACCA (or equivalent).
• Strong knowledge of accounting standards, including US GAAP.
• Understanding of UK tax legislation (desirable).
• Experience in financial and management accounting.
• Advanced Excel skills; experience with JDE preferred.
• Strong analytical, organisational and problem‑solving abilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proactive, self‑motivated, results‑driven with high integrity.
• Ability to manage workload effectively and meet deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.
• Willingness to work on‑site, with occasional travel as required.
