Financial Controller - Global Finance

About the role

A global SaaS scale-up serving the CPG and FMCG industries is undergoing a global reorganisation, centralising key functions in Northern Europe and moving operational accounting to an outsourced Shared Service Center. It is looking for an experienced Financial Controller to join its Global Finance team, reporting to the Head of Finance and working closely with the CFO. The role acts as the main link between the company and the external accounting provider in a fast-paced environment.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the main point of contact and supervisor for the external accounting outsourcer (SSC), overseeing the general ledger, monthly and yearly period closings and AR/AP cycles.
• Manage multi-entity group treasury, cash flow monitoring and the calculation of financial covenants.
• Ensure strict statutory compliance, handle tax requirements and prepare detailed reporting.
• Liaise with internal stakeholders (Sales Ops, Procurement, Controlling) and external partners (auditors, tax consultants).
• Drive and support ERP automation projects and continuous process optimisation.
• Ensure data accuracy and meet closing deadlines during the transition to the new operating model.

Required profile

• 6-7 years of experience in financial controlling or similar roles within international groups in the software / SaaS or tech sectors.
• Proven experience coordinating and supervising external accounting providers or international Shared Service Centers.
• Strong knowledge of general accounting, IFRS, tax compliance and statutory reporting.
• Solid hands-on experience in multi-entity group cash flow management and financial covenant calculations.
• Professional fluency in English; all interviews and daily work are in English.
• Nice to have: experience in finance transformation or ERP migration, transfer pricing, AI tools in finance, and ACCA, CPA or CMA certification.
