Financial Reporting Controller – Under Water Systems

About the role

The Financial Reporting Controller will join Thales' Under Water Systems (UWS) finance team, reporting to the UWS Finance Director. You will be responsible for producing accurate monthly management accounts, balance‑sheet reconciliations and financial forecasts while supporting business improvement initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare, review and publish monthly management accounts, BOR and Magnitude reporting.
• Perform balance‑sheet reconciliations and escalate issues as required.
• Produce yearly budgets (MYB), short‑term business plans (SBP) and other financial forecasts.
• Liaise with internal and external auditors to ensure compliance.
• Support finance transformation projects and group finance initiatives.
• Maintain and complete ICQ processes and interface with TBSS where applicable.

Required profile

• Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or equivalent).
• Strong analytical ability with high attention to detail.
• Proactive attitude, able to question the status quo and drive improvements.
• Experience working with senior stakeholders and cross‑functional teams.
