General Assistant – Front of House at Tate Modern

About the role

We are seeking enthusiastic General Assistants to work in the Espresso Bars and Members Rooms at Tate Modern. This fixed‑term position runs until 30 September 2026 and offers an hourly rate of £14.80 plus a comprehensive benefits package.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver high‑quality food and beverage service to visitors and members.
• Maintain cleanliness and presentation of bar and seating areas.
• Handle cash and card transactions accurately.
• Support the team during busy periods and special events.
• Contribute ideas for service improvements and new initiatives.

• Pro‑active and eager to develop new skills.
• Passionate about food & beverage, people and teamwork.
• Effective communicator with a strong customer‑service focus.
• Able to work independently and use initiative.
• Enjoys a fast‑paced environment.
