General Practitioner / Health Screener (Glasgow)

About the role

HCA UK Primary Care is seeking qualified General Practitioners to join our Glasgow clinic as Health Screeners. You will deliver comprehensive primary‑care consultations and advanced health‑screening assessments for adult patients who are proactive about their wellbeing.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct 15‑minute GP consultations, exploring medical history, addressing concerns and prescribing as needed.
• Perform extended health‑screening appointments (30 minutes to 2 hours), including lifestyle coaching and behaviour‑change support.
• Carry out clinical procedures such as venepuncture, smear tests and ECG recordings.
• Order and interpret investigations, provide medical advice and develop personalised health plans.
• Maintain accurate patient records using the practice IT system.

Required profile

• Full GMC registration.
• Strong communication skills and a patient‑first mindset.
• Interest in preventive medicine, lifestyle coaching and health optimisation.
• Willingness to work Monday‑Friday within standard office hours.

Required skills

• Proficiency in taking blood samples.
• Experience with cervical smear testing.
• Ability to perform and interpret ECGs.
