Graduate Design Engineer – Mechanical & Composite

About the role

As a Graduate Design Engineer you will join a small, high‑performance team to create innovative mechanical and composite components. You will apply your academic knowledge to real‑world projects, progressing from concept through design, testing and implementation.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop mechanical and composite parts and systems.
• Own projects from initial concept to final implementation.
• Support senior engineers on larger, complex initiatives.
• Generate 3D models, assemblies and 2D drawings, including manufacturing documentation.
• Improve existing processes and introduce new capabilities.

Required profile

• Recent graduate (or soon to graduate) in Mechanical, Automotive, Aerospace, Motorsport or a related engineering discipline.
• Strong academic results and a solid understanding of engineering fundamentals.
• Open, honest communication style and a collaborative mindset.
• Ability to work independently, analyse problems and propose viable solutions.

Required skills

• Proficiency with a CAD package (training on 3DX will be provided).
• Experience in mechanical and/or composite design through projects or extracurricular work.
• Ability to create 3D models, assemblies and 2D drawings.
• Understanding of manufacturing techniques and documentation.
