Graduate Specialist Program – Manufacturing Engineering

About the role

The Graduate Specialist Program – Manufacturing Engineering is a full‑time, 18‑24 month rotational scheme based at Bosch’s HydraForce plant in Birmingham, UK. It is designed for recent post‑master’s graduates who are passionate about manufacturing and hydraulic technology, offering exposure to specialist departments both locally and abroad.

Key responsibilities

• Gain in‑depth knowledge of engineering and manufacturing of hydraulic cartridge valves and manifolds.
• Develop expertise in Manufacturing Cost Per Unit and apply data‑driven methods to improve operational efficiency.
• Support the Manufacturing Excellence strategy across global operations.
• Analyse value streams and contribute to Lean Manufacturing improvement projects.
• Prioritise digitalisation and AI initiatives to enhance manufacturing practices.
• Rotate through functions such as Manufacturing Engineering Support, Manufacturing Operations, Bosch Production Systems, Manufacturing Coordination and Business Digital Organisation.
• Build a professional network within the company and receive mentorship from experienced experts.

Required profile

• Post‑master’s graduate (MSc or equivalent) in engineering or a related discipline.
• Strong passion for manufacturing and hydraulic systems.
• Analytical mindset with interest in data‑driven decision making.
• Willingness to work on cross‑functional projects and adapt to different manufacturing environments.
