Group Tax Manager – Part‑Time, Hybrid (London)

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Group Tax Manager to lead corporate tax compliance and reporting for our UK group entities on a part‑time, hybrid basis. The role combines senior‑level responsibility with flexible working, allowing you to balance strategic tax advisory with day‑to‑day compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Manage end‑to‑end corporate tax compliance for UK entities and oversee overseas entities where applicable.
• Prepare and review corporation tax computations, returns and supporting schedules.
• Handle correspondence with HMRC, including enquiries and claims.
• Coordinate external tax advisors as needed.
• Prepare quarterly and year‑end tax provisions for statutory accounts.
• Support tax disclosures under UK GAAP and IFRS and ensure alignment with statutory accounts.
• Provide commercial tax advice to business units and support tax aspects of transactions, restructurings and new initiatives.
• Identify and manage tax risks in partnership with finance, legal and senior stakeholders.
• Maintain tax controls, documentation and governance frameworks, and drive process improvements.
• Assist with internal and external audits.

Required profile

• Proven experience in corporate tax compliance and reporting for UK group entities.
• Strong knowledge of UK corporation tax, HMRC processes, UK GAAP and IFRS.
• Ability to work independently on a part‑time schedule while collaborating with finance and legal teams.
• Excellent communication skills for stakeholder engagement.
