Investment Manager – Merchant Finance & Real Estate Lending

About the role

We are seeking an Investment Manager to support the Principal across merchant finance, real‑estate lending and broader investment activities within a small, entrepreneurial investment office in Central London. The role offers hands‑on exposure to underwriting, origination, execution and portfolio oversight, with direct involvement in real‑time credit and property decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Build and maintain detailed financial models for lending and investment opportunities.
• Support underwriting, structuring and risk analysis across credit and property assets.
• Monitor portfolio performance and prepare internal reports for senior decision‑makers.
• Assist with capital allocation decisions and ad‑hoc strategic analysis.
• Liaise with external stakeholders such as brokers, lenders, advisers and counterparties.
• Contribute to new initiatives and process improvements across the group’s operating businesses.

Required profile

• Previous experience in a family office, private equity or investment management environment.
• Background in credit, real estate or banking.
• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to work independently in a high‑responsibility, small‑team setting.
