About the role
The Health Improvement Senior will lead the development and delivery of gambling‑harms prevention and early‑intervention programmes across East Dunbartonshire. Working with health, social care, third‑sector and community partners, you will embed gambling‑harm awareness into existing services and help reduce inequalities and stigma.
Key responsibilities
- Plan, develop and implement health improvement work streams aligned with national, regional and local strategies, ensuring they are sensitive to inequalities.
- Support and develop partnerships across health, social care, third sector and community planning to secure sustainable funding and deliver gambling‑harms prevention and early‑intervention initiatives.
- Chair meetings, contribute to forums and committees, and co‑ordinate the implementation and monitoring systems for health improvement programmes.
- Manage risk and contribute to the development and coordination of health improvement frameworks across partnerships, localities and primary care.
Required profile
- Experience in public health, health improvement or related fields, with a focus on partnership working and community‑based approaches.
- Demonstrated ability to deliver outcomes‑focused projects and to engage a range of statutory and third‑sector partners.
- Understanding of health inequalities, prevention strategies and the impact of gambling‑related harms.
- Strong communication, coordination and stakeholder‑engagement skills.
