Health & Nutrition Advisor

About the role

We are seeking a Health & Nutrition Advisor to provide specialist technical leadership that strengthens our ability to secure, design and deliver high‑quality donor‑funded programmes for vulnerable children. Working from our Milton Keynes office one day a week (hybrid), you will translate evidence and expertise into competitive funding opportunities and effective programme delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Translate technical health and nutrition evidence into compelling proposals and funding opportunities.
• Combine health and nutrition expertise with donor awareness to improve outcomes for children and communities.
• Collaborate with charity teams, consortium partners and donor‑funded programme teams across diverse geographical contexts.
• Provide technical leadership, influence without direct authority, and manage risk while balancing programme quality and donor expectations.

Required profile

• Degree or equivalent qualification in Health, Nutrition or a related discipline.
• Significant experience designing health and nutrition programmes and developing successful grant proposals.
• Strong understanding of institutional donor funding mechanisms and requirements.
• Proven ability to develop theories of change, results frameworks, indicators and logframes.
• Experience integrating gender equality, disability inclusion, safeguarding and community accountability into programme design.
