Housekeeping Assistant – Hospital (East Grinstead)

About the role

Horder Healthcare is seeking a motivated Housekeeping Assistant to join the corporate housekeeping team at The McIndoe Centre. You will play a vital part in maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for patients, staff, and visitors across the hospital.

Key responsibilities

• Perform cleaning tasks to the highest standard in patient rooms, lounges, treatment areas, and public spaces.
• Safely dispose of clinical, household, and recycling waste.
• Restock clean linen supplies and manage soiled laundry.
• Follow Health & Safety and Infection Control guidelines.
• Communicate effectively with staff and occasionally interact with patients.

Required profile

• Previous housekeeping experience, preferably in a hospital or healthcare setting.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Customer‑focused, friendly, and professional demeanor.
• Organised with strong attention to detail and time‑management skills.
• Flexibility to work weekends and bank holidays on a rota.
