Housing Litigation Paralegal

About the role

A leading UK law firm is seeking a Housing Paralegal to join its thriving Housing team. You will support experienced fee earners and Partners on a varied caseload of housing management and litigation matters, gaining hands‑on experience in social housing and litigation.

Key responsibilities

• Support fee earners on anti‑social behaviour matters and breach of tenancy injunction applications.
• Assist with housing management possession proceedings.
• Support disrepair claims, including pre‑action correspondence, disclosure and liability assessments.
• Assist with applications for access injunctions.
• Provide general housing management advice on tenancy and occupancy issues.
• Draft legal documents, correspondence and court forms.
• Maintain accurate, up‑to‑date case files using the case management system.
• Prepare hearing bundles and support court‑related processes.
• Conduct legal research and assist with client instructions.
• Provide general administrative and case‑management support across the team.

Required profile

• Genuine interest in housing litigation and social housing.
• Previous paralegal or relevant legal experience.
• Strong organisational skills and excellent attention to detail.
• Ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proactive approach with the ability to take ownership of tasks.
• Strong IT skills and confidence using case management systems.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a busy legal team.
• Hardworking, driven and keen to develop a career within housing law.
