Information Technology Support Engineer

About the role

We are seeking an experienced IT Support & Systems Engineer to provide hands‑on support for internal IT systems and voice platforms at a fast‑growing contact centre in Altrincham. The role involves maintaining operational stability, supporting users at all levels, and ensuring the performance, security and reliability of core services. Immediate start is available.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver 1st, 2nd and 3rd line support for users, systems and infrastructure.
• Manage the endpoint estate – laptops, desktops and mobile devices – including provisioning, support and repairs.
• Configure and deploy end‑user equipment following documented processes.
• Support internal voice platforms, diagnose faults and coordinate with third‑party suppliers.
• Maintain VoIP systems to ensure high availability and reliability.
• Monitor network performance, availability and security, proactively resolving issues.
• Perform routine maintenance such as patching, firmware updates and system backups.
• Administer Microsoft 365 and other SaaS platforms, managing accounts, permissions and access controls.

Required profile

• Proven experience in 1st/2nd/3rd line IT support within a fast‑paced environment.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills across systems, networks and endpoints.
• Self‑starter with the ability to work independently and take ownership of issues.
• Excellent communication skills for both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
• Highly organised, detail‑oriented and delivery focused.

Required skills

• Microsoft 365 administration.
• Experience with SaaS platforms.
• VoIP platforms – preferably BroadSoft or 3CX.
• Endpoint management and device provisioning.
• Network performance monitoring and security.
• Patching, firmware updates and system backup procedures.
• MS‑900 certification (desirable).
