Interior Plant Maintenance Technician

About the role

Urban Planters is seeking an Interior Plant Maintenance Technician to join its Oxford‑based team. You will be responsible for the care and upkeep of tropical and indoor plant displays across a variety of business locations, ensuring a high standard of service for our growing client base.

Key responsibilities

• Water, feed and carry out pest control on live plant displays.
• Replace dead, dying or over‑grown plants and maintain artificial displays.
• Assist with new plant installations and seasonal projects.
• Complete maintenance dockets, documentation and timesheets accurately.
• Observe health and safety procedures at all times.
• Build positive relationships with suppliers and customers and identify sales opportunities.

Required profile

• Full UK driver’s licence.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Plant knowledge is advantageous; horticulture qualification desirable but not essential.
• Previous experience in a similar role is beneficial, though full training will be provided.
