IT QA Lead – Prudential Regulatory Change (AVP)

About the role
We are seeking an experienced IT QA Lead to drive Prudential and Trade & Transaction Reporting regulatory change programmes for a leading international bank in the City of London. The role is senior‑level (AVP) and will be delivered on a hybrid basis (3 days on‑site, 2 days remote) until March 2027.
Key responsibilities
- Lead end‑to‑end QA testing for Prudential and Trade & Transaction Reporting regulatory change programmes.
- Own test strategy, planning, execution, regression testing and defect management.
- Develop and maintain regression test packs using Jira, Xray and Confluence.
- Validate regulatory reporting for MiFID II, EMIR, SFTR, Basel, RWA, Liquidity, Capital Adequacy and Prudential Reporting.
- Perform data validation, reconciliation, root‑cause analysis and issue resolution.
- Coordinate SIT, UAT, integration and end‑to‑end testing across multiple systems.
- Collaborate with Business, Compliance, Operations, Front Office and Development teams.
- Manage test environments, test data and QA governance to ensure audit readiness.
- Facilitate defect triage, stakeholder meetings and provide regular MI and test status reporting.
- Mentor QA analysts and promote Agile QA best practices.
- Identify project risks, manage dependencies and ensure regulatory compliance within delivery timelines.
- Support automation initiatives and improve testing efficiency.
Required profile
- Proven QA/Test Lead experience in investment banking.
- Strong knowledge of Prudential and Trade & Transaction Reporting regulations.
- Hands‑on experience with Basel, MiFID II, EMIR, SFTR, RWA, Liquidity and Capital Reporting.
- Extensive experience in SIT, UAT, regression and end‑to‑end testing.
- Agile delivery and stakeholder management experience.
- Solid understanding of derivatives, securities and the front‑to‑back trade lifecycle.

What we offer

- Daily rate of £405‑£676 (via umbrella).
