IT Support Officer – London (Hybrid)

About the role

Buro Happold is seeking an IT Support Officer to join its London office. The role is hybrid, with three days a week on‑site and the flexibility to work from home. You will support the IT Service Desk, handle maintenance tasks, and assist the Senior IT Support Lead in delivering reliable technology services across the UK business.

Key responsibilities

• Resolve allocated Service Desk tickets within agreed service levels.
• Provide on‑site IT support for hardware, software, and AV/video‑conferencing equipment.
• Assist with staff onboarding and off‑boarding, ensuring smooth access provisioning.
• Support 3rd‑line teams with local tasks and equipment procurement.
• Maintain hardware and software asset registers and manage stock.
• Participate in a rotating schedule covering office start times.

Required profile

• Strong organisational abilities and the capacity to work independently.
• Excellent communication skills for interacting with a diverse workforce.
• Customer‑service mindset with a proactive, problem‑solving attitude.
• Minimum of one year of relevant industry experience.

Required skills

• Microsoft Office (O365) troubleshooting, including Exchange, Azure AD, and Endpoint.
• Windows 11 and Windows Server troubleshooting.
• General software troubleshooting.
• ServiceNow or equivalent ITSM tool experience.
• Network fundamentals.
• MECM/SCCM administration.
• On‑premises Active Directory administration.
• Knowledge of VC/Conferencing systems (Teams Rooms).
