IT Support Technician (Aberdeen)

About the role

DeepOcean is looking for an enthusiastic IT Support Technician to join its EMEA team at the Aberdeen office. You will be the first point of contact for internal users, providing hands‑on technical assistance and ensuring smooth operation of everyday IT services.

Key responsibilities

• Receive and log IT queries via phone, email or in person using the ServiceDesk ticketing system.
• Provide first‑line support for hardware, software and network issues.
• Set up and configure computers, printers and other peripherals.
• Install, update and maintain software applications on user devices.
• Assist senior staff with server, network device and infrastructure tasks.
• Maintain up‑to‑date IT documentation and contribute to small projects.
• Escalate complex issues to senior technicians and support user training when needed.
• Occasionally travel to other regional sites (France, Africa, Middle East).

Required skills

• Basic knowledge of Windows operating systems.
• Familiarity with Microsoft 365, Azure, Entra ID or Intune (bonus).
• Understanding of networking concepts and IT infrastructure.
• Experience with ServiceDesk ticketing systems.
• Hardware troubleshooting, software installation and printer configuration.
• Support for servers and network devices.
