Logistics Assistant – Transport & Documentation Support

About the role

The Logistics Assistant is responsible for the safe, professional and efficient transport of goods, materials, personnel and confidential company documentation. The role also provides day‑to‑day support for logistics operations, including loading and off‑loading shipments and offering operational backup to management when required.

Key responsibilities

• Operate company vehicles responsibly while maintaining a professional demeanor.
• Transport goods, materials and sensitive documents between designated locations, ensuring secure and timely delivery.
• Capture logistics information in approved systems such as Excel trackers or ERP platforms, including dispatch, receiving details and status updates.
• Support the loading and off‑loading of shipments.
• Maintain accurate logistics documentation (delivery notes, waybills, proof of delivery) and ensure minimal rework and zero unresolved discrepancies.
• Assist with basic logistics administration, including checking delivery notes, recording proof of delivery, updating tracking logs and filing dispatch/receiving documentation.

Required profile

• Valid driver’s licence and ability to operate company vehicles safely.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to handle confidential and sensitive documents.
• Physical capability to load and unload shipments.
• Commitment to adhere to traffic regulations, company policies, confidentiality protocols and safety standards.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel for tracking logistics data.
• Experience using ERP or other logistics tracking platforms.
