Logistics Coordinator

About the role

The Logistics Coordinator will ensure that outbound logistics targets are met for BASF's omega‑3 manufacturing site in Breascleit, Scotland. You will work closely with internal teams, external transport providers and customers to guarantee timely order processing and delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate outgoing logistics, liaising with internal and external stakeholders, transport companies and customers.
• Manage end‑to‑end order processing in SAP, including order entry, shipment creation, invoicing and credit/debit notes.
• Book and monitor outbound transportation, ensuring on‑time delivery.
• Investigate and resolve logistical issues in partnership with stakeholders.
• Maintain accurate SAP transactions, documentation for customs clearance and internal use.
• Collaborate with the UK Exports team on tax savings and customs procedures for international shipments.
• Work with Quality Assurance to address logistical non‑conformities.

Required profile

• University degree or equivalent experience, preferably in logistics or supply chain.
• Good understanding of logistics processes with prior supply chain or logistics experience.
• Experience in cGMP pharmaceutical manufacturing is desirable.
• Familiarity with stock control systems and warehouse operations.
• Service‑oriented with strong communication and decision‑making abilities under pressure.
