Mobile Service Technician - Medical Device Maintenance

About the role
We are seeking a technically skilled, customer‑focused Mobile Service Technician to deliver installation, maintenance, calibration and repair of specialist bio‑decontamination and infection‑control equipment used in NHS hospitals, pharmaceutical labs and clean‑room environments across South Wales and the South West of England. The role involves field‑based work, providing on‑site technical support and training to customers. Full training on our advanced systems will be provided.
Key responsibilities
- Perform planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and servicing on electro‑mechanical decontamination equipment.
- Diagnose and repair faults in pumps, motors, fans, valves, relays, sensors and process‑monitoring systems.
- Service ultrasonic atomisation and vaporisation systems, hydrogen peroxide delivery units, and airflow/catalytic deactivation modules.
- Carry out electrical fault‑finding using multimeters and diagnostic tools.
- Inspect, calibrate and test humidity, airflow and process sensors; conduct leak testing and tubing inspections.
- Support equipment installation, commissioning, validation and emergency breakdown response.
- Deliver operator training and refresher sessions for customers.
- Maintain accurate service reports, calibration records and maintenance logs.
- Provide technical feedback on recurring faults and product performance trends.
- Ensure all work complies with company QHSES procedures and customer site requirements.
Required profile
- Electro‑mechanical engineering or field service background.
- Customer‑focused with strong communication skills.
- Willingness to travel across South Wales and the South West of England.
- Ability to work independently and follow health‑safety and quality procedures.
