Multi‑Skilled Engineer (Electrical Bias)

About the role

Noble Foods is seeking a hands‑on Multi‑Skilled Engineer with a strong electrical focus to join its fast‑paced poultry processing site. Reporting to the Engineering Manager, you will keep vital production equipment running safely and efficiently in a high‑volume FMCG environment.

Key responsibilities

• Respond quickly to breakdowns, performing electrical and mechanical fault‑finding.
• Maintain and repair conveyors, evisceration equipment, packing machines, chillers and other production machinery.
• Carry out planned preventative maintenance and support continuous‑improvement projects.
• Troubleshoot PLC‑controlled systems, motors, drives, sensors and control panels.
• Perform mechanical work on gearboxes, bearings, pneumatics, hydraulics and basic fabrication.
• Collaborate with production and hygiene teams to minimise downtime.
• Support shutdowns, new installations and site engineering projects.
• Record all work accurately in the site CMMS and ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene and H&S standards.

Required profile

• Confident, safety‑focused engineer able to think quickly under pressure.
• Recognised electrical qualification (NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds or equivalent).
• Solid mechanical fault‑finding experience in a manufacturing setting.
• Good knowledge of permit‑to‑work, isolation and lock‑off procedures.
