About the role
Fortitude Drinks UK is seeking a commercially driven National Account Manager to join its Off‑Trade team on a 12‑month fixed‑term contract covering maternity leave. Reporting to the Head of Sales, you will own a portfolio of key UK retail customers and be responsible for driving profitable growth and strategic partnership development.
Key responsibilities
- Build and nurture collaborative relationships with assigned national accounts, acting as a trusted partner.
- Achieve volume, revenue, profitability and market‑share targets for each customer.
- Manage full P&L responsibility, including trade‑spend budgeting for the portfolio.
- Develop and implement joint business plans and annual account plans aligned with growth objectives.
- Identify new growth opportunities and expand the customer base.
- Work cross‑functionally to plan, forecast and align account activities with budgetary goals.
- Maintain accurate data in internal and customer systems and ensure timely administration.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activity and provide insights to inform decision‑making.
- Represent the company at industry events, trade shows and networking opportunities.
Required profile
- 2‑3 years of successful account management experience in sales or buying, preferably within a blue‑chip environment.
- Proven track record of delivering commercial growth with strong negotiation and communication abilities.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to translate market and customer data into strategic plans.
- Experience selling or buying both branded and own‑label FMCG products is advantageous.
- Effective communicator capable of presenting to senior stakeholders.
