Newly Qualified Nurse – Gold Standard Preceptorship

About the role

As a newly qualified nurse at HC-One you will join a supportive, nurse‑led environment and take part in the Gold Standard Nursing Preceptorship Programme. You will help residents during a vulnerable stage of their lives, guiding them through important decisions and delivering compassionate, person‑centred care.

Key responsibilities

• Provide high‑quality, person‑centred nursing care to residents in a care‑home setting.
• Support residents in making life‑changing decisions and act as a trusted advocate.
• Mentor and supervise nursing students, acting as a practice supervisor and assessor.
• Identify and report safeguarding concerns, following HC‑One’s training and escalation procedures.
• Utilise digital care‑planning tools to streamline documentation and improve outcomes.

Required profile

• Registered Nurse with a valid NMC PIN number.
• Passion for mentoring colleagues and supporting student nurses.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Commitment to professional behaviours and a person‑centred approach.
• Awareness of safeguarding responsibilities and ability to act appropriately.
