About the role
The Nurse Team Leader (B7) will support the Senior Nurse Manager in delivering high‑quality, patient‑centred care within the Community District Nursing Service. This full‑time permanent position combines autonomous clinical practice with leadership of operational nursing staff across community settings.
Key responsibilities
- Provide service leadership by supporting the Senior Nurse Manager in operational and professional oversight of nursing staff.
- Deliver autonomous clinical care with advanced knowledge and experience.
- Coordinate daily team activities to ensure safe, high‑quality care across the caseload.
- Participate in governance activities such as audit, incident review, risk management, and evidence‑based practice.
- Maintain quality assurance standards for patient‑centred care.
- Support change management, practice development, and service improvement initiatives.
Required profile
- Current 1st Level NMC registration (essential).
- Post‑registration degree (essential).
- Management diploma or equivalent leadership training (desirable).
- Experience in leadership, practice development, and managing change (desirable).
- Driving licence (desirable, due to geographical area covered).
