Occupational Therapy Assistant

About the role

We are seeking a motivated and compassionate Occupational Therapy Assistant to support the development and delivery of occupational therapy at Cygnet Afon Las, a new specialist neurocognitive service in Corwen. This role offers the chance to work alongside a Highly Specialist Occupational Therapist and make a meaningful difference to men with complex neurocognitive needs.

Key responsibilities

• Support the development and delivery of occupational therapy within the neurocognitive service.
• Work under the direction and clinical supervision of the Highly Specialist Occupational Therapist.
• Assist with occupational therapy assessments and outcome measurement.
• Deliver delegated individual and group‑based interventions.
• Help individuals develop and maintain daily living skills, meaningful routines, occupational participation and independence.
• Observe, record and communicate progress to the Occupational Therapist and the wider interdisciplinary team.

Required profile

• Motivated and compassionate individual with a keen interest in neurorehabilitation.
• Desire to develop knowledge and understanding of occupational therapy practice.
