About the role
Dalhousie University is seeking a Part‑Time Academic to teach the Managerial Economics course (PUAD 5130) for first‑year Master of Public Administration students during the Fall 2026 term. The instructor will lead both lecture and tutorial sessions and manage all related course activities.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver lecture sessions on Mondays from 17:35 to 20:25.
- Conduct tutorial sessions on Wednesdays from 17:05 to 20:25.
- Prepare course materials, assessments, and grading.
- Provide two hours per week of student consultation outside class times.
- Handle administrative duties related to the course, including any post‑term tasks.
Required profile
- Master’s degree in public administration or a related field.
- Recent or current executive‑level experience within government departments.
- Previous university‑level teaching experience at the master’s level with demonstrated effectiveness.
- Ph.D. in public administration or a related discipline is an asset.
- Expertise in managerial economics in the public sector is preferred.
