Portfolio Management Loans Support Manager – Public Sector

About the role

The role supports the management of a portfolio of debt investment transactions for Homes England’s National Housing Bank. Working in a hybrid setting, you will collaborate with the lead Portfolio Manager to ensure effective client stewardship, risk mitigation, and delivery of housing outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Support delivery of housing starts, completions, land unlocking and budgeted spend in line with the Business Plan.
• Prepare credit submissions, payment requests and instruct legal documentation to maintain compliance.
• Maintain oversight of portfolio performance, providing accurate data reporting and assurance activities.
• Monitor risk profiles, identify early signs of deterioration and work with the lead Portfolio Manager to implement corrective actions.
• Analyse portfolio metrics and produce high‑quality reports and recommendations.
• Contribute to policy and process reviews, recommending improvements for efficiency and compliance.

Required profile

• Degree‑level qualification or equivalent experience in Banking, Finance or a related field.
• Experienced investment professional with a strong understanding of cashflow analysis and financial modelling.
• Familiarity with deal execution documents such as Shareholder Agreements and Loan Agreements.
• Experience in risk and client management across real‑estate lending portfolios, preferably with development finance exposure.
