Procurement Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a detail‑oriented and analytical Procurement Engineer with 3+ years of experience in the retail industry to manage sourcing, vendor evaluation, and procurement operations. The role ensures cost‑effective purchasing while maintaining quality and timely delivery of goods and services.

Key responsibilities

• Manage end‑to‑end procurement processes including sourcing, negotiation, and purchasing.
• Identify and evaluate vendors and suppliers based on price, quality, and delivery performance.
• Prepare and manage RFQs, RFPs, and purchase orders.
• Negotiate contracts to achieve cost savings and favorable terms.
• Ensure procurement activities comply with company policies and industry standards.
• Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with internal teams to ensure timely supply.
• Analyze procurement data to identify cost optimisation opportunities.
• Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and supplier performance.
• Collaborate with engineering, operations, and finance teams for smooth procurement planning.
• Handle vendor relationship management and address supply‑related issues.

Required qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in procurement, sourcing, or supply chain roles, preferably in retail.
• Strong understanding of procurement processes and vendor management.
• Experience with ERP systems such as SAP or Oracle.
• Excellent negotiation and analytical skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and reporting tools.
• Good communication and stakeholder management skills.
