Product Tax Professional

About the role

Meraki Talent is looking for a Product Tax Professional to join a long‑term contract in Edinburgh. You will provide tax advisory services for UK, Luxembourg and Irish funds and support product, investment and operational teams on a wide range of tax matters.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive tax advice for UK, Luxembourg and Irish fund structures.
• Support product, investment and operations teams on fund and investment tax issues.
• Coordinate with internal stakeholders and third‑party providers, managing outsourced tax compliance and reporting.
• Oversee withholding tax reclaims, relief at source and international tax compliance for a large investor book.
• Provide tax input for new product launches, mergers, closures and special projects.
• Research complex tax queries, propose solutions and maintain internal tax policies.
• Build and maintain relationships with custodians, fund administrators and external advisors.
• Ensure effective controls and processes to identify and manage tax risks and obligations.

Required profile

• Experience in a Big 4 environment or equivalent tax advisory role.
• Strong working knowledge of product tax for investment funds across the UK, Luxembourg and Ireland.
• Proven ability to manage large outsourced tax compliance programmes.
• Excellent communication skills to convey tax impacts and opportunities to business stakeholders.
