Production Assistant – Coffee Roastery

About the role

We are seeking a Production Assistant to join our Islington roastery. You will support the final stage of coffee production, ensuring that roasted beans are bagged, packaged, and dispatched accurately and on time.

Key responsibilities

• Operate the vertical form‑fill‑seal machine, manage changeovers and troubleshoot issues.
• Bag and label coffee according to the daily production plan, applying correct batch codes and dates.
• Pick and pack direct‑to‑consumer and business‑to‑business orders for timely courier collection.
• Maintain accurate daily stock levels and perform monthly stock takes using the Unleashed inventory platform.
• Carry out daily and weekly machinery maintenance and cleaning in line with SOPs.
• Receive and put away incoming goods, recording them in the inventory system.
• Keep the production floor organised, clean and compliant with health, safety and SALSA standards.

Required profile

• Team‑player who collaborates with production, roasting and customer service teams.
• Technically minded with experience on automated production lines.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality standards.
• Self‑sufficient problem‑solver able to work independently.
