Production Operations Manager

About the role

We are seeking an ambitious Production Operations Manager to lead one of our key sites in Reading. The role focuses on delivering on‑time, in‑full production while driving continuous improvement and developing high‑performing teams.

Key responsibilities

• Lead production operations to ensure on‑time, in‑full delivery while maintaining high quality standards.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives using data and KPIs to identify trends and implement corrective actions.
• Collaborate cross‑functionally with engineering, logistics and service teams to optimise site performance.
• Manage budgets, control costs, and support strategic and capital planning.
• Maximise productivity, efficiency and utilisation of labour and equipment.
• Lead, coach, and develop teams, fostering a high‑performance, safety‑focused culture.
• Ensure compliance with quality, health & safety, and environmental standards.

Required profile

• Proven experience in a production or operations management role within a fast‑paced environment.
• Degree‑educated or holding relevant operational qualifications.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and drive improvements.
• Effective communicator able to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.
• Highly organised with strong attention to detail.
• Customer‑focused mindset with a proactive approach to problem‑solving.
