Founding QMS Architect

About the role

KO2’s client is building the next generation of AI‑driven hardware infrastructure and needs a Founding QMS Architect to design a lean, scalable quality management system. You will create compliance frameworks that enable rapid product delivery while meeting the strict standards of regulated industries such as aerospace, defence, automotive, and medical devices.

Key responsibilities

• Architect and implement a Quality Management System (QMS) from the ground up, focused on speed and precision.
• Develop compliance frameworks that accelerate delivery rather than impede it.
• Coordinate external regulatory specialists, EMC testing houses, certification bodies, and test labs.
• Drive qualification and validation strategies across multiple regulated sectors.
• Identify when to bring in specialist expertise and orchestrate those inputs without slowing momentum.

Required profile

• Deep understanding of regulated product environments (aerospace, defence, automotive, medical devices, robotics, advanced electronics).
• Proven ability to operate in fast‑paced, high‑ambiguity startup settings.
• Commercial, strategic, and technical thinking with a bias for rapid execution.
• Experience building world‑class regulated systems while maintaining startup agility.

Required skills

• EMC testing and compliance knowledge.
• Regulatory certification processes (e.g., CE, FCC, ISO standards).
• Design and implementation of Quality Management Systems.
