Project Façades Engineer – Healthcare Infrastructure

About the role

Join a flagship healthcare programme as the Project Façades Engineer, leading the design and delivery of façade systems for the Monklands Replacement Hospital in Scotland. You will guide a small team of senior engineers and ensure the envelope meets the highest standards of safety, quality and sustainability.

Key responsibilities

• Lead façade engineering design, coordination and delivery across the hospital project.
• Manage and develop a team of Senior Façade Engineers.
• Collaborate with consultants, suppliers and site teams to resolve technical challenges.
• Review specifications, buildability, surveys, dimensional control, testing and quality assurance.
• Use 3D CAD/BIM data to support construction planning and engineering decisions.
• Champion DfMA and digital engineering approaches.
• Oversee temporary works interfaces, inspection/test plans and change control.
• Ensure compliance with engineering and safety standards.

Required profile

• Degree in engineering, construction or design (or equivalent qualification with experience).
• Chartered or professionally qualified, or working towards chartership.
• 8+ years of technical/practical engineering experience, preferably in façades or building envelope delivery.
• Strong knowledge of standards, testing regimes and design processes.
• Ability to interpret complex design information and produce safe, buildable solutions.
• Collaborative mindset with leadership capability.
