Project Manager

About the role

We are seeking a Project Manager to join our HMP Glasgow team on site in Glasgow. You will work on the £750M HMP Glasgow project, delivering the Central Facilities building that houses medical, laundry, security and other essential services for the new rehabilitation‑focused prison.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the successful delivery of the Central Facilities section, ensuring completion on time, on budget and to safety and quality standards.
• Manage subcontractor performance and coordinate with the commercial team on financial reporting.
• Oversee compliance with health, safety and environmental policies and procedures.
• Develop collaborative relationships with clients and stakeholders.
• Mentor and support site teams, sharing expertise to nurture talent and build capabilities.

Required profile

• Significant experience delivering large‑scale projects, especially with concrete structures and steel frame construction.
• Strong communication skills and ability to build collaborative relationships with diverse teams.
• Expert knowledge of delivering full‑build projects of substantial size.
• Relevant construction qualifications (HND/Degree) and professional membership (CIOB/ICE).
• SMSTS certification, CSCS Card and a valid driving licence.
