Radiological Protection Engineer (French & English)

About the role

EDF is seeking a Radiological Protection Engineer to join the Hinkley Point C (HPC) project in Somerset, England. The role starts in the UK and, after a few years, will transition to EDF SA in France to support upcoming EPR2 projects. You will help build world‑class radiological protection capability across design, construction, commissioning and preparation for operation.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement radiological protection standards and procedures for the HPC site.
• Provide expert advice to engineering, safety and regulatory teams.
• Ensure compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements.
• Promote best practice and a strong safety culture throughout the project.
• Liaise with external regulators, industry bodies and internal stakeholders.

Required profile

• Proven experience with radioactive waste and radiological protection in a nuclear environment.
• Fluent in both French and English.
• Willingness to relocate from the UK to France after the initial assignment.
• Full‑time, permanent availability.
