About the role
The NHS Scotland Relief Porter/Driver provides essential transport services across the health service, moving goods, supplies and patients safely and efficiently. This role covers all shifts, including day, night and weekend work, ensuring continuous support for clinical teams.
Key responsibilities
- Drive vehicles up to 3.5 tonnes to transport goods, medical supplies and patients.
- Deliver portering services that support the efficient operation of NHS facilities.
- Cover a flexible roster of day, night and weekend shifts as required.
Required profile
- Current membership of the PVG Scheme (appropriate adult and/or child group).
- Legal right to work in the United Kingdom.
- Commitment to NHS values of equality, diversity and inclusion.
Required skills
- Valid UK driving licence suitable for vehicles up to 3.5 tonnes.
- Experience driving and operating transport vehicles in a healthcare environment.
- Ability to follow health and safety procedures while handling patients and supplies.
