Remote Accountant (UK based)

About the role

Sleek is seeking a remote Accountant to join its UK‑based team. You will work from anywhere in the United Kingdom while collaborating daily with the Leeds office, delivering high‑quality accounting services to a portfolio of growing businesses.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare year‑end accounts for limited companies, partnerships, and sole traders.
• File corporation tax and VAT returns accurately and efficiently.
• Handle bookkeeping and personal tax workflows where required.
• Manage a client portfolio end‑to‑end and ensure a world‑class customer experience.

Required profile

• AAT qualification minimum with at least 2 years post‑qualification experience.
• Solid working knowledge of UK GAAP, corporation tax and VAT.
• Proven ability to independently manage year‑end statutory accounts.
• UK‑based with unrestricted right‑to‑work.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Xero (or ability to learn quickly).
• Understanding of UK GAAP.
• Knowledge of corporation tax.
• Knowledge of VAT.
