Retail Sales Assistant/Driver (40 Hours)

About the role

We are looking for a dynamic Retail Sales Assistant who will also handle driver duties at our Witney store. The role involves supporting the store team, delivering exceptional customer service, and contributing to sales targets in a fast‑moving wine retail environment.

Key responsibilities

• Drive store performance by maximising sales opportunities and meeting KPI targets.
• Provide market‑leading customer service, acting as a VIP concierge and promoting repeat purchases.
• Maintain in‑depth product knowledge, supporting personal WSET qualification development.
• Handle operational tasks such as delivering wine to customers, merchandising stock deliveries and maintaining store appearance.
• Identify and suggest improvements to store operations and share ideas with the wider team.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety and legal policies, completing mandatory training.
• Act as a key holder, responsible for opening and closing procedures.

• Strong communication skills and a passion for delivering excellent customer experiences.
• Ability to work collaboratively with a store team and support junior members.
• Willingness to continuously learn about wine ranges and obtain relevant qualifications.
