About the role
Major Recruitment is seeking a reliable School Cleaner for several schools in Glasgow. The position is full‑time, Monday to Friday, with two shift options: early (05:00‑08:00) or afternoon (15:30‑18:30). Cleaners are responsible for providing a high level of cleanliness and customer service across all school areas, from reception and elevators to classrooms, storage closets and other facilities. The role offers a pay rate of £12.71 per hour and is based in the G23 postcode area.
Key responsibilities
- Wipe down walls, windows and mirrors to maintain a clean appearance.
- Use appropriate cleaning chemicals and equipment safely.
- Mop, scrub and vacuum floors throughout school facilities.
- Remove dust, dirt and grime from surfaces in classrooms, corridors and common areas.
Required profile
- Must hold a valid PVG (Protection of Vulnerable Groups) clearance.
- Child‑barred check required.
- Available to work the specified early or afternoon shift patterns.
