About the role

Major Recruitment is seeking a reliable School Cleaner for several schools in Glasgow. The position is full‑time, Monday to Friday, with two shift options: early (05:00‑08:00) or afternoon (15:30‑18:30). Cleaners are responsible for providing a high level of cleanliness and customer service across all school areas, from reception and elevators to classrooms, storage closets and other facilities. The role offers a pay rate of £12.71 per hour and is based in the G23 postcode area.

Key responsibilities

Wipe down walls, windows and mirrors to maintain a clean appearance.
Use appropriate cleaning chemicals and equipment safely.
Mop, scrub and vacuum floors throughout school facilities.
Remove dust, dirt and grime from surfaces in classrooms, corridors and common areas.

Required profile

Must hold a valid PVG (Protection of Vulnerable Groups) clearance.
Child‑barred check required.
Available to work the specified early or afternoon shift patterns.
