Join a leading British marine engineering organization as a Senior Contracts Manager to spearhead high-level defence programmes. Based in South Shields, this pivotal leadership role focuses on driving ship modernization projects from inception to successful technical completion.

Missions principales

• Lead project teams and oversee the end-to-end execution of complex ship modernization programmes.
• Act as the primary point of contact for Ministry of Defence (MOD) stakeholders, ensuring seamless communication and alignment.
• Define project scope, budgets, and resource requirements by coordinating internal departments, subcontractors, and OEMs.
• Manage project lifecycles, including detailed work packages, scheduling, cost estimation, and change control.
• Ensure strict compliance with defence engineering standards, safety, quality, and regulatory requirements.
• Monitor team performance through KPIs and provide clear, strategic reporting to senior management.
• Support commercial activities, including billing, contract negotiations, and final account settlements.

Profil recherché

• Proven experience in managing large-scale engineering or maritime projects, preferably within the defence sector.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to coordinate multidisciplinary teams and external partners.
• Exceptional stakeholder management skills, specifically with high-level government or military entities.
• Demonstrated expertise in budget management, resource planning, and risk mitigation.
• Analytical mindset with a focus on continuous improvement and operational excellence.
