Senior Data Engineer – Quantexa (6‑month contract, hybrid)

About the role

Senior Data Engineer (Quantexa) based in London on a hybrid schedule (2 days in office per week). The role is a 6‑month contract delivering big‑data transformation programmes for a leading Data & AI consultancy.

Key responsibilities

• Design and build scalable big data pipelines using Quantexa.
• Develop and optimise ETL/ELT processes for high‑volume, complex datasets.
• Deliver entity resolution and network analytics solutions with Quantexa.
• Integrate data from multiple structured and unstructured sources across enterprise platforms.
• Build data solutions within cloud‑native environments (GCP, AWS, Azure).
• Ensure data quality, governance, lineage and security standards for large‑scale transformation programmes.

Required skills

• Hands‑on experience with Quantexa implementation and development.
• Strong background in big data platforms and Apache Spark / PySpark.
• Programming proficiency in Scala and/or Python.
• Expertise in SQL and large‑scale data modelling.
• Cloud experience with GCP, AWS or Azure.
• Familiarity with Databricks, Snowflake or Hadoop ecosystems.
• Knowledge of data ingestion, ETL/ELT frameworks and batch/real‑time processing.
