Senior Engagement Manager, Forward Deployed Engineering

About the role

Databricks is hiring a Senior Engagement Manager for its Forward Deployed Engineering (FDE) organisation in London. As a trusted advisor, you own the end-to-end go-to-market of FDE and Training, working closely with account teams and customers. You will independently scope complex engagements with multiple workstreams spanning data and AI that deliver outcomes for the company's largest customers.

Key responsibilities

• Independently scope and lead large, complex initiatives with multiple workstreams and diverse stakeholders.
• Drive full-cycle sales of standard and customised Professional Services and Training (PS&T) programmes, applying best practices from Centers of Excellence and migrations.
• Identify and pursue upsell and cross-sell opportunities with existing customers to meet or exceed revenue targets.
• Partner with Sales and GTM teams to prioritise regional PS&T targets aligned with growth goals.
• Monitor customer sentiment proactively and take corrective action or escalate issues to maintain high satisfaction.

Required profile

• 7-10 years running a Professional Services line of business.
• 10+ years in senior customer-facing roles combining influence and execution.
• Proven track record of managing large-scale programme plans and service delivery.
• Ability to travel as required.

Required skills

• Deep understanding of PS&T offerings, including partner funding programmes (Microsoft, AWS, Google).
• Strong knowledge of Databricks architecture, competitors and migration benefits.
