Senior ERM / Exposure Management Developer (Contract)

About the role

This contract position supports a global (re)insurance organisation in modernising and extending its enterprise ERM and Exposure Management platforms. You will work on both legacy systems and new backend services, delivering high‑impact features in a specialised risk environment.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and enhance full‑stack applications, adding new features and improving existing functionality.
• Support, refactor and optimise legacy platforms to ensure performance, scalability and stability.
• Troubleshoot complex production issues across business‑critical systems.
• Design and integrate REST APIs and third‑party services, including catastrophe modelling tools.
• Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders within an agile delivery framework.

Required profile

• Proven experience in (re)insurance environments.
• Hands‑on exposure to ERM / catastrophe modelling platforms and risk modelling at account or portfolio level.
• Experience integrating with catastrophe modelling APIs such as AIR Touchstone, RMS or Analyse Re.
• Strong full‑stack development background with Angular, JavaScript/jQuery, Python or C#.
• Solid knowledge of SQL Server and T‑SQL, with strong debugging and optimisation skills.

• Day rate of £750 (inside IR35).
