Senior Mechanical Project Engineer

About the role

Dalkia Engineering is seeking a Senior Mechanical Project Engineer to lead the mechanical engineering delivery on high‑profile construction projects across central London. You will provide technical leadership and assurance across the mechanical scope, ensuring compliance from design through to commissioning.

Key responsibilities

• Lead mechanical engineering delivery, coordinating with Project Managers, construction teams, design consultants and specialist subcontractors.
• Ensure compliance with project brief, specifications, statutory requirements and the Building Safety Act during design development, procurement, modelling, installation, testing and commissioning.
• Provide technical guidance, produce clear RFIs, reports and correspondence, and resolve on‑site issues promptly.
• Review drawings, specifications and installation quality, maintaining high health & safety standards.

Required profile

• Motivated, detail‑focused engineer with a strong interest in M&E building services, especially mechanical systems in complex buildings.
• Solid technical understanding of HVAC, pipework and associated systems.
• Excellent organisational and time‑management skills, able to juggle competing priorities.
• Proactive problem‑solver with a collaborative approach to working with electrical teams, subcontractors and stakeholders.
