Senior Relationship Director – Large Corporate (Manchester/Liverpool)

About the role

As a Senior Relationship Director for Large Corporate at Santander, you will lead a portfolio of corporate clients across Manchester or Liverpool. You will be responsible for delivering tailored financing solutions, driving growth, and ensuring an excellent client experience while upholding the bank’s risk and compliance standards.

Key responsibilities

• Lead a portfolio of large corporate clients, driving acquisition, retention and revenue growth in line with Santander’s strategic priorities.
• Develop customised funding and lending solutions in collaboration with Credit Risk, Portfolio Management and Treasury teams.
• Act as a trusted adviser, building long‑term relationships with clients and business introducers.
• Manage credit risk, regulatory compliance and financial‑crime controls for the portfolio.
• Identify new business opportunities and support sustainable revenue and profitability targets.
• Coach and mentor Relationship Managers to raise capability and share best practices.
• Champion digital adoption using platforms such as Salesforce and nCino to improve onboarding and data integrity.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing large corporate banking relationships.
• Strong understanding of credit risk, regulatory frameworks and financial‑crime standards.
• Demonstrated ability to develop and deliver complex financing solutions.
• Excellent communication and relationship‑building skills.
• Leadership experience in coaching and performance management.
